Kambi Group to acquire esports data company Abios for up to £ 22 million

Sports betting providers Kambi group announced the takeover of the eSports data and technology company Abios for SEK 150 million (~ £ 12.57 million) in cash.

In addition, up to SEK 120 million (~ £ 10.05 million) will be paid in earnouts related to product development and “future revenge payments” by Abios. As a result, the acquisition could eventually run to SEK 270 million (~ £ 22.63 million).

Swedish eSports organization Ninjas in Pajamas (NIP) announced a merger with the Chinese esports brand ESV5, Create ‘NIP group‘ included.

As a result of the merger, ninjas in pajamas will return to League of Legends by joining Riot Games’ Chinese franchise league, the LPL. The merger will rename the LPL team Victory Five to Ninjas in Pajamas for the 2022 season.

Brazilian resort Costa do Santinho invested BRL $ 300 million (~ £ 41 million) to build it HubCG, a new venue in Florianópolis, Brazil.

The new venue is expected to go into operation in January 2022. The project is created and managed by a businessman Fernando Marcondes de Mattos, the founder of Costão do Santinho, and Professor Carlos Alberto Schneider of the CERTI Foundation.


Freaks 4U Gaming secures £ 12.7m investment from co-investor partners

Global gaming and esports marketing agency Freaks 4U Gaming has announced an investment of € 15m (£ 12.7m) from Co-investor partner.

As a result, Co-Investor Partners became a minority shareholder in the company. According to a press release, the funds will be used to advance the company’s growth and expansion plans.


FaZe Clan Secures Investment from Cox Enterprises

North American esports organization Faze clan has announced a strategic investment by the media group Helmsman company.

The investment deepens the existing partnership between the two companies. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Through the crowdfunding round, QLASH would like to develop its QLASH community Platform for participating in events.


Edge Gaming raises $ 2 million for the training academy
