How To Delete A User On Mac
Open System Preferences
You can either go to the Apple logo in the top left of the menu bar and click on it, which will bring up a drop-down menu. From there, click on “System Settings”.
Or you can just click the gear icon in the dock.
Click Users and Groups
The next step is to open the Users & Groups folder, which can be reached either by searching the top-right bar of System Preferences or by clicking the menu.
If you’re having trouble finding it, you’ll find Users and Groups in the second row of the top half of the processes, usually between Touch ID and Accessibility.
Click on the lock to make changes
Once inside, you’ll need to click on the lock to make system-level changes. Enter your password and press “Unlock”.
Select the user, press the minus key and click Delete user
Once inside, click on the user you want to delete and select the little minus button in the bottom left corner. A small box will appear giving you three options.
The first archives all saved documents and information so they can be restored at a later date if needed. With the second option, the home folder remains in the user folder. The third simply deletes the folder and the used space is released.
Once you have selected one of the three options, click on “Delete User”. The process should now be complete.
