How to watch the Love Island 2021 finale & vote for your favourites

The summer of love is almost over – or at least the part of it that was housed in a neon-lit villa in Mallorca. The islanders are already sorting out their last night’s outfits and packing their white suitcases. If you want to join and watch the final live, here’s how.

We also have a method to watch the show abroad, just like you can watch BBC iPlayer abroad or American channels like The CW and Netflix US.

When is the Love Island finale?

Love Island 2021 will air for the last time on Monday 23 August at 9pm on ITV2. The show will be longer than the average episode, ending at 10:35 p.m., so pack plenty of snacks to get you through.

Which Love Island candidates are in the final?

Four couples are left at the villa following the surprise exit of Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish. They are:

  • Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank
  • Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran
  • Faye Winter and Teddy Soares
  • Millie Court and Liam Reardon

How to vote for your favorite couple to win

For now, Millie and Liam are the favorites to share the £50,000 prize pool. If you want to have a say, do the following. You need to download the free Love Island app for iOS (iOS 9+ or higher) or Android (Android 4.4.x or higher) on your smartphone.

After installing the app, click the “Vote” button at the bottom of the screen.

If you haven’t registered yet, you will get a pop-up asking you to do so first. Registration is also free.

How to watch Love Island abroad

The ITV Hub+ app lets you catch up on Love Island and other shows while you’re abroad. However, there are restrictions, including the ban on live TV and a restriction that only allows you to catch up on shows from EU countries.

There is a way around this, but it’s important to note that these methods are against ITV’s terms and conditions.

To watch Love Island from any country in the world you need to use a VPN. A VPN changes the location of your IP address so you can connect to a server within the UK to watch Love Island online.

Our favorite VPNs are NordVPN, Surfshark or CyberGhost, but you can find more of our favorites in our roundup of the best VPNs. You can also check out our list of recommended free VPNs. However, these have limited server options and therefore streaming with one of these servers can be more difficult.

Once you have installed and signed up your VPN and selected a UK server, you can go to the or ITV website or ITV Player app and sign up to watch Love Island from abroad.

ITV hub abroad

ITV can block VPNs at any time, so it’s possible it won’t always work. You should be able to contact your VPN’s support to find out why.

It’s worth checking first that you haven’t enabled location access in the ITV Hub app, as this can also cause problems when using a VPN. Navigate to the ITV Hub settings on your phone or tablet to check.

Most VPNs work on desktop or mobile, and there are also ways to install and use a VPN on devices like the Amazon Fire TV Stick and gaming consoles.
